Cricket is considered the top international sport because it is popular in many countries, especially India, Australia, and England. The game has strong rivalries and comes in different formats, like Test matches and T20. Its long history and strategy attract millions of fans. What makes cricket so loved around the world?

The game gains mass popularity because it remains easy to understand but it's equally very challenging to master at every level. The basic principles behind the game are pretty much easy to understand by everyone but becoming skilled at the game demands skill.

Although cricket may not be the most popular sport in every country, it has garnered a substantial global following, with billions of fans. Its rich history and the exceptional skill needed to play attract both spectators and participants alike. Beyond its athleticism, cricket holds cultural importance.

Cricket is a very broad game. Players have to face fast bowlers and spinners. It is a hard game for everyone involved. The conditions of the pitch also matter a lot. The ball may or may not seam depending on the conditions of the pitch.

Cricket’s global appeal stems from its rich history, passionate fanbase, and diverse formats—Test, ODI, and T20. Major tournaments like the ICC World Cup attract massive viewership. Strong financial backing, franchise leagues (IPL, BBL), and cultural significance in many nations solidify its premier status.

I boycott india, sweden, france, slovekia, slovenia russia, netherlands, denmark, italy and china because religious discrimination is a common thing in india. Having said that, india is trying to control cricket. I no longer watch cricket but still cricket is my favourite sport.
