The ads and sponsorships in the Olympics is way too much to the extent that it filled my entire viewing experience on a particular day. The Olympic organizers understand the importance of funding yet the commercialization appears to have taken over the competition in my view.

Viewing Olympic now requires effort because logos along with countless commercials fill the screen in a much distracting ways. Does the Olympic competition nowadays prioritize commercial advertising beyond healthy measure? Share your thoughts

Corporate sponsorships, media rights deals, and advertising have taken a central role, sometimes overshadowing the spirit of amateur athletic competition. I think the commercialization has led to higher costs for hosting the event and the potential for undue influence on the athletes and the games themselves.

I stand between two opinions on this. Although the Olympic Games have shifted toward commercialization, they would not operate without sponsorship funds which allow these events to happen. What needs to be done is to allow fewer intrusive sponsorships rather than eliminating them from the Olympics competition entirely.

Olympics tend to be commercialized for various reasons. Olympics are a kind of event which is watched by many people. Olympics is a international event and this is why so many people focus on this event. This gives many sponsors and companies to commercialize this kind of event.
